Finally!!!!

Well we finally found out last night that we got approved for the house. We feel so blessed. They are even let us pick the day we need to move in. On top of that since the house is through a company they take care of all our hooking up all our utilities. Just one more thing we don't need to worry about. My mother-in-law Debbie just flew back home today after staying with us since Sunday. It was so nice to see her and visit with her one last time before we head to Washington. She was sooo helpful. Cliff and I had to work Monday through Wednesday so she occupied her time by packing all day. I think she probably packed up half of the house for us. Sooo nice!!! We have a little over a week to go and things seem to be progressing very well for our move. Cliff's trip went great but now he can't wait to get to Spokane and start doing it full time. He told me that when he left there he felt like he was leaving his home. A very good feeling.

Waiting to find out!

Well Cliff and I found out some good news yesturday. The rental company was unable to get ahold of the first applicants. Apparently they did not complete everything that they needed to finish up their application. Which means that Cliff and I are now the first applicants in line for the house. We are now waiting impatiently to find out if our application will get approved. The only thing I can see that might hurt us is having our dog. But we are keeping our fingers crossed. On another note I had my four month check up on Monday. Everything looks great. The heartbeat was a strong 150. My doctor kept laughing because as she was trying to find the heartbeat she said the baby was moving around a lot making it a little difficult. I told her it was probably the french fries I had for lunch :). Our next step is to find and OBGYN in Spokane. We have decided on the hospital we like, just need to do some research and make sure that the doctor we choose will accept our insurance. So much to do in the next 6 months!!

Visiting Family

It is so great to be able to see my family again before we move. My dad and I went to visit my grandma and some other relatives today. It was so great to catch up. Cliff is traveling to Portland today with the kids (and 8 hour trip). He was happy that they got a bus so that he didn't have to drive. He looked at two homes for us yesturday. The first one was being rented out by a member of our soon to be congregation. Cliff said that it was very nice and very well updated but unfortunately way too small for our growing family. Later in the afternoon he visited a house I found online through our realitor's company. There were not many pictures online but the exterior and the landscaping of the home was very nice and most importantly it had three bedrooms and was in our price range. Cliff called and said that he thought it would work for us for our first year. However, we were the second people to put in our application for it and the owners look at the applications as they came in. We will find our on Monday if the owners excepted the application or not so we are keeping our fingers crossed. It would really be perfect for us. Along witht the three bedrooms it has a full basement with two more bedrooms (but not technically because it doesn't have windows). Most importantly they will take Gazey which has been our major problem through this whole process. It is about 3 miles away so Cliff could still ride to work on his new toy. So if you read this before Monday say a prayer for us. If this does not work out we will most likely be moving into a home to do some house sitting and looking at rentals once we get there. It would just be nice, however, to not have to move twice.

Starting the moving process!

Well we are at one month and counting. I really can't believe this year has gone as fast as it has. I took Cliff to the airport this morning at 5:00 a.m. for his second Spokane trip to work with the teens. He will be taking them to Portland to put on a VBS. He will also be able to check out some rental properties that we are considering. It is tough to find a place half way across the country but we know that God will take care of us. I leave for my parents this weekend. It will be the last time I get to see them until the baby is born in Janurary. They are already looking at plane tickets. I am very excited that they will be coming particuraly my mom since I will need all the help I can get. Let's see what else. We got our first new car last week. FINALLY!! A 2008 Honda Accord. We love it and it will be perfect to help us start our new family. Don't get me wrong the 98' purple sunfire and 93' honda accord were great but not really baby safety appropriate. We are thankful they lasted us this long though. I will probably start packing up our house this week. We got our boxes in from the moving company so I really have no more excuses. It is weird, however, to be packing up and not fully knowing where you are packing up to go to. But like I said, one step at a time. This will be a big adventure for our black lab Gazey. Three days in the car will be interesting. We hope she will adapt to the new climate of the west coast. I know I will!!!! Well that was a lot of random stuff. Hope to post more permanent news the next time I am on!!
